FOXQ1 utilizes the KMT2A/MLL complex as a transcriptional co-activator of EMT in breast cancer
Forkhead box Q1 (FOXQ1) recruits the KMT2A/MLL histone methyltransferase to gene regulatory regions by binding to RbBP5. In this study, we uncover the protein interaction mechanism and demonstrate how this transcriptional pathway could be exploited to suppress FOXQ1-mediated EMT and metastasis.
